Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 April 2026 · Effective date: 25 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bethala Kathalu (bethalakathalu.blogspot.com, "the blog", "we", "our") handles information when you visit. The blog is operated by Sai Kiran (online: pandrala) as a personal Telugu storytelling project. Contact: pandrala@hotmail.com.

1. Information we collect

We collect very little information directly. Most data collection happens through third parties — primarily Google (which hosts Blogger), Google Analytics, and Google AdSense. The categories of data:

1.1 Information you give us

  • Comments: If you leave a comment, your name, email (if provided), comment text, and timestamp are stored by Blogger / Google.
  • Email contact: If you email pandrala@hotmail.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you send. We use this only to reply.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Server logs (Blogger / Google): IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, date/time, and similar standard web-server data.
  • Cookies: Blogger sets functional cookies to remember preferences. Google AdSense sets advertising cookies (if AdSense is active). Google Analytics sets measurement cookies.
  • Approximate location: Derived from IP address (country/region level, not precise GPS).

2. How we use the information

  • To display and operate the blog (Blogger / Google's responsibility).
  • To understand traffic patterns and which posts are read most (Google Analytics).
  • To show ads relevant to readers (Google AdSense, when active).
  • To reply to email and comments.
  • To detect spam and abuse.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone. We do not run our own email mailing list or newsletter. We do not collect payment information.

3. Third-party services and cookies

This blog runs on Google Blogger, which is a Google product. The following Google services may set cookies or collect data on this site:

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings or, for participating providers, www.aboutads.info.

4. Cookies in detail

  • Strictly necessary — Blogger session cookies, anti-spam tokens. Cannot be disabled while you use the site.

  • Analytics — Google Analytics anonymised usage data. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Advertising — Google AdSense, DoubleClick, and partner network advertising cookies. Opt out at google.com/settings/ads or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).

You can disable cookies entirely in your browser, but parts of the blog may not work as intended.

We do not sell personal information. To exercise CCPA rights, email pandrala@hotmail.com with subject line "CCPA Request".

8. Indian readers — DPDP Act 2023

For readers in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives you rights to access, correct, erase, and grievance-redressal of personal data. Sai Kiran (the blog operator) is the data fiduciary. Email pandrala@hotmail.com with subject line "DPDP Request" to exercise these rights.

9. Data retention

Comments persist as long as the post exists, unless you request deletion. Email correspondence is retained for up to 2 years for follow-up reference. Server log data and analytics: per Google's retention defaults (typically 14 months for Analytics). AdSense data: per Google's policies.

10. Data security

The blog is hosted on Google Blogger infrastructure, which uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS in transit). We do not maintain a separate database or server. We cannot guarantee absolute security but rely on Google's enterprise-grade controls.
